A great article for my consignors!

A great article in the Post this week.  I especially like the comment by one of the designers they asked to help them with the article. “ ‘Dated’ means that at one time it looked good,” said Amy Zantzinger, an interior designer based in Chevy Chase. “Bad taste never looked good.”

This is exactly what is so hard to explain when deciding what consignments we will take and those we pass.  My goal at REfind is to select items that still make sense for today.  There are still some great "old" things that have value in peolples homes. We see it as our job to discern which pieces might be reused in a new way or still have the "it" that people want.

We never mean to offend and the article says exactly what we feel; dated doesn't mean you have bad taste or that your things are bad.  We are just trying to bring the best merchandise to the customers.
