Dreaming of owning my own beach cottage for as long as I can remember. For now renting works pretty well. How much fun would it be to have my own place where I could use all of these wonderful things that are consigned at REfind! In my mind I picture the perfect worn wood floors with Swedish striped Dash and Albert woven rugs, white and blue awning stripes, vintage fish lithographs, creamy white dishes, beach glass tile, white linens and mason jars full of shells. Maybe someday! Until then I will dream at REfind.

Mixture
I just recieved my second order from a great little company out of Kansas. They make to order candles, diffusers, bath and body products. The highlight of their products is the fragrance. Each scent is a combination of items which, not unlike a fine wine, surprise you with different aromas as you use the product. Their little description cards are pretty accurate in describing what you might smell if you try their products.
I am thinking these have Mother's Day written all over them! The bath bombs especially....I am sure one has my name on it already.

So Quiet, So Busy!
Quiet Blog = Busy Store! Last week was a very busy week at REfind. I was mostly taking in consignments and trying to find room to put them all. Which means something good for you; lots of new stuff for you to find. Photos of the new stuff to follow on Tuesday, I promise!
I must admit that the issue of no photos is remembering to bring my camera back to the store where I usually keep it. I took it home to do a photo shoot of my house as I prepare to put my home on the market. I took a picture of each room. Then I studied each photo trying to be objective about how others might view it. The Realtors tell me people buy space so "uncozying" my home it what I needed to do. Here are a few things I have done to help make more space.
I have also been turning the bedroom my husband was using as his office back into a bedroom and decluttering every space. Those nosy pepople will be opening all of my hiding places! After photos to follow when I get it all done.
And, oh if you know anyone who wants to buy a house in Centreville, send them my way! It is a perfect home for a young family.

{replacing dresser with glass console from dining room, removed small desk as you enter the room}
{narrow room, i am moving the glass console and reusing it it the living room}
{remove extra chair blocking window}
{removing coffee table and getting a tray for the ottoman to function as a table}

Oh Yes We Did!
What a wonderful night for our "Growing" party! The event to introduce you to Heather Wombacher, Interior Stylist, ended up being an evening to remember. Fifty or so guests noshed on hors d' oeuveres and pastries, drank wine, visited with us and shopped! And the incredible weather provided the perfect evening to enjoy the porch at REfind.
Part of the evening fun was a chance to win a Room Restyle with Heather. Congratulations to Kim of Vienna who will have the opportunity to work with Heather to create a space that is welcoming and uniquely hers!
As luck would have it all of the "people" photos are on Heather's camera...but here are a few to give you an idea of the yummy food we all enjoyed. Thank you to Cornish Pasty, Silva's Patisserie, Edible Arrangements and Sushi Yoshi for preparing our feast. And, more photos will follow!
