We now have some unique bed frames in stock. Check out the photos to see what arrived this week.

REpurpose
While some may have seen the piece in this photo as a child's desk or kitchen item I decided to use it as a bar. This piece would work great tucked in a tiny corner of a Dining Room or Living Room. Part of what we hope to do at REfind is give you ideas of how you can reuse items you have in your home. So many pieces can be repurposed with just a little bit of elbow grease and a willingness to try something new.

Oasis Soy Candle Scent Review by Ami!
"Mandarin Clove is spicy and sweet, my favorite in the bunch (and I'm hoping everyone will buy up the soy candles so I can sneak a few extra into the next order for myself). Amber Rose is more subtle but also very nice- it would be good if you like a candle lit for hours at a time since it isn't overpowering. It would probably work fine with cooking/food scents at a party as well. Sweet Orange and Mango smells just like the name- if you like the idea, you'll probably like the scent; if it sounds too sweet, it probably is. Aloe Spa could be any medium blue candle- fine, but not particularly interesting and not my personal taste. Kiwi Apple was surprisingly heavy on the kiwi and light on the apple- it doesn't have the sweet and spicy cider scent I tend to associate with most apple candles but almost smells more like a kiwi Bath and Body Works lotion. Lilac Bamboo unlit smells like the typical Asian scented candle, but when burned it is sweeter and more complex than you'd guess from the raw scent. Toasted Vanilla is very strong: walking into my apartment hours later, it still smelled like I'd been baking cookies. I'd recommend it if you want to trigger memories of homemade baking, but not if you're just looking for a light ambient aroma. Warm Vanilla on the other hand doesn't have such a sugary smell- it is definitely vanilla, but more subtle than the Toasted Vanilla." We currently have Lilac Bamboo, Kiwi Apple and Sweet Orange Mango in stock!

My favorite color is arriving, daily!
Love, love all things green. Maybe it is because green things match my eyes, it looks alive or because it reminds me of my garden; whatever the reason I love green. I have been busy receiving lots of consignment items. Customers who have enjoyed making purchases at REfind are making appointments to consign some of their own things. Enjoy the "green" photos and please call me if you wish to make some of your things REfind merchandise.

Hours this Week
I can't believe I am doing this but I will not be open officially until Friday at 11AM. The Town of Vienna welcomed me with open arms and pocketbooks. By 2PM today the store was barren. I grossly underestimated the positive response I would get when opening REfind, and thus I must take a week to restock. I thought the consignments would arrive before my initial stock would be depleted. Anyway, I was busy tonite after hours beginning the process of restocking the store. I went to the country this morning and found lots of great finds (thank you sweet daughter Ami for manning (or is it womanning) the store). I have another trip planned on Wednesday even further out West so that I can bring you what you have told me you want; affordable neat stuff. I promise to keep all of your requests in mind and do the best I can to bring you the REfind goods. If you leave me a comment I might even update you as to when I will be at the store earlier in the week and you can catch me by chance. Thank you Vienna, I feel welcomed!

WOW!!!
What a welcome to the neighborhood. I have met so many nice people since Saturday; and they love to shop! I had no idea we would need to restock the store within the first week of business. I was out buying every spare minute and have instructed my best consignor (my sister) to go buy like crazy.
If sales are an indication of what you like then you love our taste. We have also had our first few new consignors bring by a few things. Check out the photos to see what is new.
I may have to reduce my hours to begin with so that I have time to bring you what you what to see at REfind. I will keep you posted.

Remerchandising
With all of the recent sales, I was busily remerchandising on Monday. Here are two photos of the front of the store- I love the chimenea and the CW Anderson racehorse prints. I'm looking forward to being surprised by all of the stuff consignors sell here in the future!

Opening Party
Yesterday REfind hosted a party for my family and friends to celebrate the successful opening. When setting up for the party, we had to put a "Closed" sign on the door- we hope everyone who looked in on Sunday will come back during our normal business hours! I'm here again today trying to fix our inventory system glitch before tomorrow, and I've had several more potential customers peek in for a quick look around the shop. Thank you to everyone who has stopped in and given me so much encouragement over the past several days.

Successful First Day
Oktoberfest (and my cute nephew Tyler) brought in a lot of customers for our first day in business, and many of our visitors decided to REcycle some great REfinds! I was shocked at the number of customers who decided to make purchases even though they were actually there to enjoy the festival below. Thank you to all of you who stopped by, made a purchase or just introduced yourself and wished me good luck on my new venture. I even met my backdoor neighbor who lives just beyond the brick wall. She was so enthusiastic which was much needed late in the day. Vienna is unique in that the people who live here really seem to value the small business owners who have shops in town. I hope that some of you who took my card will call me to set up a consignment appointment. As many of the late in the day people discovered we sold a lot of stuff! I will be busy the next few days restocking and remerchandising the store. Many customers commented that they want their home to look as inviting as the store. I have an amazing resource in my sister Susan. She has been working with people just like you to help you use what you have, buy a few key pieces (if necessary) to achieve a look for your home that you will be proud of. She works with clients in whatever capacity they need: adviser, doer or shopper. Susan and I have spent many years decorating our homes on a shoestring and we love being able to pass on our ideas and thriftiness to you. Thanks again to all of you for an amazing day. Come see me again, and hopefully we will have more fun things for you to enjoy.
Opening Day!
We are thrilled to be on the corner of Church and Center Street as the town prepares the Octoberfest festivities right on our corner. And it is opening day for REfind! We will pretend that the party below is in our honor. We received more goodies yesterday; check out the pictures of our new additions and come and say hello!

The last few hours....
Everything has arrived in the last few hours. The wonderful sign constructed by Rockstar Wraps, the tag order and the Dash and Albert order. How excited (and busy) can one person be! A visit from a Church Street retailer was the best motivation for the work in front of me. She was very complimentary of the store and the "Finds" that have already made their way here. Enjoy the latest additions!
