Bathroom Decorating

The REfind bathroom needed decorating, so I bought these mirrors from my neighbor Applegate Framing.  I also found a great cabinet at my favorite antique store, Old House Antiques in Leesburg.  I like the mixture of modern light fixtures and the older cabinet and chair.

We are ready, the store is set and the big day is Saturday, October 3rd.  Now if we can only get our REfind sign delivered.  Here are a few new things that have come in to the store in the last few days. Take a look and then think about what you have at home that could find its' way to REfind!

My Desk is Here!

I waited all day for my new desk to arrive.  It is actually a kitchen island, but I saw it as the perfect desk.  It has lots of drawers and cabinets and nooks and crannies to hide my stuff.  I even noticed a place for wine glasses.  Come by and toast the opening of REfind on Saturday, October 3rd!

Gourds are here! And a Sneak Peak at Christmas!

The gourd order arrived today.  Of course gourds make sense for Fall with pumpkins and the harvest theme, but wait until you see the gourds for Christmas.  They are quite whimsical and fun. I promise I won't put Christmas out until Halloween has passed.  Somehow the Fall and Christmas colors just don't mix well!

Northern Lights Candles

My first shipment of Northern Lights Candles has arrived and the soy candles smell great!  In my home, I prefer to fill decorative candle holders with unscented candles so that when I light scented container candles, the aroma isn't marred by decorative candle scents.  To this end, I ordered unscented seasonally-colored rustic tapers, unscented Vela European pillar candles, and the scented container Oasis Pure Soy Candles.  Today I'm hard at work adding the candles to inventory and affixing labels to each.  As you might guess from the photo, I've been enjoying the short walk to Starbucks, but I'm afraid spending my days only a block away from a  Starbucks might be detrimental to my waistline!

Weekend Finds

I spent this past weekend out enjoying the great fall weather and also looking for more choice items to sell at REfind.  I was delighted to purchase a box of milk glass dishes, and I also found a vintage trunk made in Washington DC at Tophams.  The trunk has great details, a metal finished interior, and is mounted on small wheels.  So far, the hardest part of setting up my store is resisting the temptation to bring items home for myself!

In other store news, I've ordered a larger counter for my computer, printer, and such.  I'm looking forward to delivery so that I can organize my electronics and store supplies.  Today I've also finally received business cards for REfind and they look great!

Accepting Consignments!

Our inventory system is up and running, so we are now able to check in consignments. To consign at REfind, call 703-938-3463 for an appointment.

I've been spending some of my time ordering new items to complement REfind consignments. Included in those orders are tag decorative and tabletop accessories for the Fall and Christmas seasons.

I've also ordered candles from Northern Lights, including decorative tapers and pillars, and some soy fragrance candles. The Oasis Pure Soy Candles are made of 100% soy wax in a smooth creamy texture. They are highly fragranced and clean burning.

Dash and Albert carries wonderful woven area rugs, and I am hoping to get an order in this week. Meadowbrooke Gourds out of Pennsylvannia has already shipped my first gourd order. Gourds are wonderful fillers for your decorative containers.

With all of these orders on the way, as well as REfind business cards, I can't wait to see the guy in the brown outfit arrive at my door!
